Washington vineyard turns breeze into bucks

This week's Winecast visits Destiny Ridge Vineyard, the 263-acre estate planting for Alexandria Nicole Cellars in the Horse Heaven Hills near Paterson, Wash.

Jarrod and Ali Boyle, who own and operate Alexandria Nicole, recently installed 20 Windspire wind turbines to generate electricity. According to a Windspire official, ANC is the first Northwest winery to use the 30-feet tall machines.
