Self-directed winemaking courses now available through WSU

A new self-directed viticulture and enology program has started at Washington State University.

It’s aimed at those who don’t need a certificate, don’t have time or the financial resources for the certificate program or are ready to start learning about winemaking and don’t want to wait until seats in WSU’s professional certificate program open up, according to the university.

There are no tests or assignments and no contact with instructors.

The first six enology courses are available online and include lectures and PowerPoint presentations from WSU experts and industry specialists.

They range from $75 to $400 on topics such as wine production, wine chemistry, winery sanitation and more.
