Self-directed winemaking courses now available through WSU
By Ingrid Stegemoeller, Wine Press Northwest
A new self-directed viticulture and enology program has started at Washington State University.
Its aimed at those who dont need a certificate, dont have time or the financial resources for the certificate program or are ready to start learning about winemaking and dont want to wait until seats in WSUs professional certificate program open up, according to the university.
There are no tests or assignments and no contact with instructors.
The first six enology courses are available online and include lectures and PowerPoint presentations from WSU experts and industry specialists.
They range from $75 to $400 on topics such as wine production, wine chemistry, winery sanitation and more.
