Get set to sample Northwest flavors in Portland

PORTLAND -- Savor and delight in the flavors of the Northwest. Find that next great wine buy or discover a new restaurant to tempt your taste buds all at the Northwest Food and Wine Festival on Nov. 15.
The event, which features hundreds of wines to sample and foods to nosh, is at the Memorial Coliseum Exhibit Hall in Portlands Rose Quarter.
It includes two food and wine tastings. The Grand Food and Wine Tasting, general admission, is from 5 to 9 p.m. and is limited to 2,000. Cost is $75.
The Preferred Tasting, at $95, includes an extra hour to sip, sample and meet the winemakers and chefs. It runs from 4 to 9 p.m. and is limited to 500.
Everyone attending the festival will receive a commemorative wine glass and have a chance to taste 600 wines and more than 50 fine dining and gourmet epicurean offerings. All food and wine samples are included in the ticket price.
There will be live music, a silent auction and chefs demonstrating their signature dishes. Sommeliers on the floor will be available to answer questions.
Many of the wineries will have bottle and case discounts.
