Ste. Michelle profit grows 30 percent

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ operating profit rose 30 percent to $14.8 million in the second quarter, according to a securities filing by its Connecticut-based parent company, UST.

Strong growth came across the wine segment’s products.

Ste. Michelle also launched a new advertising campaign for Columbia Crest and expanded its sales force.
